ELEANOR MAY BLACKBURN Eleanor is an actor/writer/theatre maker/poet/facilitator from Sheffield bringing her one-woman-show ‘Does My Fanny Look Big in This?’ to Catford Mews. She had her first chapbook Ghost and Found published by Cerasus in 2021 and her first full-length collection Sleeve Heart is set to be released this year. Eleanor was a playwright for the Sheffield Theatres 2023 Bank Cohort and has written and toured two autobiographical solo shows. ‘Does My Fanny Look Big in This?’ Tackles sex education, validates sexual anxiety, and deals with sexual trauma while answering questions you’ve always been a little too embarrassed to ask. Let’s explore the sexual world through spoken word, uncomfortable noises, an inflatable sex doll, (bad) singing, anxiety and a limerick. WEBSITE PHOEBE WAGNER Phoebe Wagner returns to Catford Mews to present ‘(Pub)lic House’, a film about empty pubs in Croydon, made of interviews edited into poems, maps into animations and words written by the community. Pubs across Croydon have been boarded up, abandoned and left to be empty. Phoebe remembers growing up in them. Roger (her Dad) remembers playing music in them since the early 90s. Together they go on a pub crawl across Croydon asking 3 questions: “What happened in these pubs, what are they now and what could they become?”. Compiled through interviews and workshops, see their exploration of the music, stories and sounds that populate(d) these pubs. WEBSITE *** Carmina Masoliver Carmina Masoliver is a poet from south London, and founder of She Grrrowls feminist arts nights.
